The meat industry “Topola” was the first in Serbia certified ISO 22000 Food Safety Management in October 2006. Certification was carried out by a branch of the British “Loyd Registry” from Piraeus. This standard is designed to carry out two monitoring visits each year, and every third year a standard is subject to re-certification to verify that it functions in practice.
In July 2021 Meat Industry Topola verification certificate from Lloyd’s Register, which determined that the company complied with the requirements of the Food Safety System Certification 22000, FSSC 22000, version 5.1.The verification process was performed in the period from 19th to 21st May 2021. During this period, the recertification of the ISO 22000 standard was performed, and the food safety management system of the company IM Topola was approved by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance Limited according to the specification ISO 22000: 2018, category CI, DIIa.
