The “Topola” meat industry was the first in Serbia to certify the ISO 22000 Food Safety Management standard in October 2006. The certification was carried out by the branch of the British “Lloyd’s Register” from Piraeus. This standard is designed in such a way that two monitoring visits are carried out every year, and a recertification of the standard is carried out every third year to check whether it works in practice.
In July 2021, the Topola meat industry received a verification confirmation from Lloyd’s Register, which determined that the company complies with the requirements of Food Safety System Certification 22000, FSSC 22000, version 5.1. In this period, the recertification of the ISO 22000 standard was carried out, and the food safety management system of the IM Topola company was approved by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance Limited according to the specification ISO 22000:2018, category CI, DIIa. The verification process was carried out in the period from 19.-21. May 2021.
